After fighting with several software programs over the weekend in an attempt to make this site / blog more aesthetically pleasing, I finally gave up and just tried manually modifying the blogger template. I'm actually quite happy with what I've come up with, though I know I'll be tweaking it for a while. The picture I used to make the banner image, in case any of you are interested, is taken near Angel Fire, New Mexico. It is a beautiful area, and while I certainly could have found other images from the Rocky Mountain region that are prettier, I felt that this one is very representative. You can find views similar to that all over Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico. I must admit I don't know Montana well enough to be certain, but I would imagine that a similar picture could be taken in many parts of that state as well.
I think I'm finally ready to take this site seriously, and I hope that the rest of you are as well. Please tell your friends about the new and improved GayRockies.net!
