Wow, it's been nearly a month since my last post, and as I look at it, I realize that I'm really not back in the saddle. I don't know why, but it's been extremely hard for me to get back into the groove of things this semester. While I always have experienced some internal hesitation about getting into a routine, it seems like this semester is worse than it has been since my senior year of high school (oh, so long ago!) I have trouble getting myself to class on time, and when I find spare time, instead of doing any reading or studying, I've been doing none. I open up my laptop to write a bit in my class journal, this blog, or one of the papers I need to be working on ... and somehow the computer automatically starts up a video game. I'm not going to say that I haven't had a talent for procrastination in the past, but this semester it seems that I just can't get my focus where it needs to be.
I guess the wise thing to do would be to quit wondering why I'm being so lazy and unfocused and start working to change it. I'm just not used to having to try so hard.
